sadly, i was not intelligent enough to know the term bascule bridge...so i did what any resourceful person would do: googled it. here's a nice link for others who may not know:

uh, ok, mine was to the TYPE of bridge, actually - not to the Fremont bridge in particular. But true, I did not think to actually click on the Fremont Bridge link you provided because, well, I do know that that is...unlike the bridge type. Alas. Glad I gave you a chuckle...though, perhaps you were being sarcastic? ;)
